Since January 2012, Oman is a member of the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement for Legalisation of Foreign Public Documents (The Apostille Convention), thus documents being legalised for use in Oman only need an apostille certificate. The Embassy's attestation is no further required.
Any document bearing the Apostilles does not require attestation of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman and is recognised by the Authorities in Oman. Therefore, the Embassy shall not attest any document that bears the Apostilles.
