Legalization Requirements

Power of Attorney for Omanis

The following documents need to be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna:

 

  • A letter which includes all details and states all legal requirements, the letter should also include the passport numbers of the people concerned and must be signed.

  • The letter needs to be authenticated by a public notary or local police station then by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.

  • Copy of Omani ID for the Omani resident in Austria.​ 

  • The cost can be paid in cash or bank cheque or order made payable to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna.

Commercial Legalization

The following documents need to be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna:

 

  • Documents such as a power of attorney should be authenticated by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.

  • If the goods are not of Austrian origin, the exporter company should send a certified declaration of origin (not an Austrian certificate of origin).

  • To legalise a certificate of origin, we need to legalise the original commercial invoice.

  • A pre-paid self-addressed return envelope is required.

  • Please allow the process of legalization to take five working days.

Public Legalization

The following documents need to be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna:

 

  • All of the documents should be authenticated by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs.

  • A pre-paid, self-addressed return envelope is required.

  • Please allow the process of legalisation to take five working days.

  • The cost can be paid in cash or bank cheque or order made payable to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Vienna.
