Thus acting as an important lever for the economic growth of Oman and the enhancement of the quality of life of the local communities of Al Wusta Governorate.
Mission:

To improve the business environment of Duqm;

develop its infrastructure services; manage its strategic assets and facilities;

and build its human-resource capabilities in order to attract local inward and foreign direct investments in transportation and logistics services, high-value-added industries, and tourism in accordance with the approved master plan, best international practices, good governance and the sustainable use of natural resources.

Opportunities:
The Zone offers an attractive package of investment incentives and tax cuts that aim at enhancing the business environment for the private sector and improve its competitive standing which include:

Easy and facilitated access to land based on long term leases and reduced rates.

Removal of any restrictions on foreign ownership and minimum investment capital; waiver/reduction of corporate tax and customs duties.

This is in addition to nationally applicable incentives such as the waiver of personal income tax, convertibility of currency, and the full repatriation of investment capital and profits.
SEZAD is hereby inviting qualified private sector companies of either Omani or foreign nationality to participate in the development of the Zone in the field of "site development, promotion and management" to enhance the readiness of the Zone and its business offer towards end users and in targeted economic sectors; namely:

The Duqm SEZ is a model of an integrated economic development composed of zones:
a sea port, industrial area, new town, fishing harbor, tourist zone, a logistics center and an education and training zone, all of which are supported by a multimodal transport system that connects it with nearby regions (e.g., the Arabian Gulf countries, Middle East, East Africa and Southeast Asia). The Special Economic Zone is administered, regulated and developed by the Duqm Special Economic Zone Authority, a financially and administratively independent government entity.
